Canal Educatif (“on demand educational channel”) is a collaborative web platform which offers a series of free and innovative educational videos connected to the high school level curriculum. Targeted at teachers, students and families, it is intended for after-school work by students, for use during class time and to foster discussion between different generations. A practical podcast for CURIOUS teachers and learners looking to be more creative and digitally fit in today’s classrooms. I will post a podcast every week focusing on a variety of multimedia topics. I will share ideas, projects, tips, interviews, & creativity workouts (called “noodling”) with you. Also, given the interactivity of the web, I will post and share ideas from other teachers who are using the powerful tools of multimedia in their everyday class. I hope this is a useful resource for you. I have learned so much from others. It’s my turn to share with you!

Annenberg Media develops workshops and courses that provide teachers with content and pedagogical learning. Workshop and course resources consist of video, print and Web components that can be used for self-study. "Patterns, Functions, and Algebra" explores the "big ideas" in algebraic thinking, such as finding, describing, and using patterns; using functions to make predictions; understanding linearity and proportional reasoning; understanding nonlinear functions; and understanding and exploring algebraic structure. The course consists of 10 two-and-a-half hour sessions that each include video programming and activities, provided online and in a print guide. The 10th session explores ways to apply the algebraic concepts you've learned in K-8 classrooms. You should complete the sessions sequentially.
